There Is Still Hope: Keep Believing in Yourself
Today I heard words I have needed to hear for a very long time: \"Kelli, I'm going to help you.\" Sometimes, hope arrives in a sentence. Whatever you are facing, your story isn't finished yet.
Today is a good day.
I am exhausted. I am emotional. I am still in pain. Nothing magically disappeared overnight.
But today, I heard words I have needed to hear for a very long time:
"Kelli, I'm going to help you."
Sometimes, hope arrives in a sentence.
For a long time, I have been trying to get the dental care I need. There have been obstacles, disappointments, waiting, phone calls, emails, and moments when I wondered how many more times I could explain what I needed.
But I kept going.
That doesn't mean I was always strong.
Sometimes I was frustrated. Sometimes I was angry. Sometimes I was tired. Sometimes I had anxiety screaming at me to hurry up and fix everything immediately.
But I kept moving.
Today, I spoke with a specialist who listened to me. He didn't promise that everything would happen overnight. There are still scans to obtain, decisions to make, planning to complete, and probably more waiting ahead.
But he gave me a path forward.
And that matters.
The Voice You Need to Hear
There will always be voices telling you what you cannot do.
Sometimes those voices come from other people.
Sometimes they come from systems.
And sometimes, after hearing them long enough, they start sounding like your own voice.
That's when you have to remind yourself:
Their voice does not get to become your truth.
You need to hear the voice inside you that says:
Keep going. There may still be another way. Ask another question. Send another email. Make another call. Try another door.
And when one door doesn't open, you don't have to stand there forever trying to force it.
Sometimes you pivot and find another one.
Hope Doesn't Mean Everything Is Easy
Hope isn't pretending things don't hurt.
My mouth still hurts today. I'm still tired. I still don't know exactly how everything will work out. And yes, I'm still waiting on another email.
But hope doesn't require you to know the entire ending.
Sometimes hope is simply knowing your story isn't finished yet.
That is where I am today.
I don't have every answer.
But I have a next step.
And sometimes a next step is enough.
Please Don't Give Up on Yourself
Whatever you are facing today, I want you to remember something:
You may hear no. You may hear not possible. You may hear too complicated. You may even begin wondering whether you should stop trying.
But before you decide that your answer doesn't exist, give yourself permission to look for another way.
Keep pushing. Keep believing in yourself. Keep reminding yourself that your voice matters.
You don't need to know every step today.
You only need the courage to take the next one.
Today, someone told me: "Kelli, I'm going to help you."
Tomorrow will bring whatever tomorrow brings.
But today? Today, there is hope.
And if you're struggling to find yours, borrow a little of mine.
It's not if. It's how.
LIVE. DON'T JUST EXIST.
